Product Commercialization (NPI) Manager

The Product Commercialization Manager plays a crucial role in managing the end-to-end process of bringing new products to market for the LF*GO! brand. This role is responsible for leading the commercialization efforts of our product portfolio. You will serve as the central hub for coordinating cross-functional teams across the commercial and manufacturing facets of our business, ultimately overseeing all aspects of product commercialization, from product development to launch in retail.

This role demands extensive product commercialization experience, robust project management skills, and a strategic mindset, coupled with a track record of driving collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve product scale-up timelines and minimize time-to-market.

Key Responsibilities

Commercialization Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end management of commercialization projects and timelines, from product concepting to planning/executing manufacturing, assembly, and launch into retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive product commercialization plans for proposed concepts and prototypes, detailing resource requirements, timelines, key milestones, and deadlines to ensure successful product launches.
  • Manage initiatives required to provide complete retail solutions, including collaboration with the manufacturing team and coordination of supplementary projects with external suppliers as part of overall project requirements.
  • Develop customized timelines for project phases, including preparation, setup, trial, and deployment into retail and/or e-commerce channels.
  • Conduct effective status meetings & maintain accurate project dashboards/reports, while escalating concerns with proposed solutions in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Assist Sales leads with customer timeline communication.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and provide recommendations based on lessons learned.

Packaging and Compliance Alignment

  • Partner with creative and supply/manufacturing teams to develop and optimize packaging for new products, including packaging concepts for retail, e-commerce, and sampling.
  • In collaboration with contract manufacturing, R&D team, General Counsel, and Product Marketing advisor, ensure all new products comply with regulatory, safety, and labeling requirements across target markets.

Fulfillment Coordination

  • Lead SKU/supply management and proliferation among channel partners.
  • Liaise with internal and external manufacturing partners to ensure efficient inbound/outbound product logistics.

Quality and Compliance

  • Verify that packaging and pallet configurations adhere to retailer-specific guidelines and industry standards.
  • Oversee quality assurance checks for products leaving the warehouse, ensuring they meet specifications for shelf-ready retail display, e-commerce, and sample packaging.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain or commercialization roles within the CPG/FMCG, food, beverage, or high-volume commodity product segments.
  • Direct experience working with primary and secondary packaging suppliers and providing solutions for shelf-ready displays/merchandising solutions.
  • Strong understanding of retail channel dynamics - including C-Store, H&W, and Specialty.
  • Experience in Beverage, Supplement, and/or Functional Product categories is a plus.

Required Skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Expertise in project management tools and collaboration software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
